ai is seeking an experienced Database Developer to support a program with the U.
SArmyWhile we would prefer someone in the DC area to provide SIPR support on a periodic basis in the Arlington, VA office, we are offering fully remote to those who do not live in the DC area What you will doo Perform data management project design tasks.
o Understand the customer's data.
o Implement physical data stores based on logical models.
o Support solution development by translating functional needs into robust and scalable data storage designs.
o Coordinate with the Data Scientist to identify, evaluate, ingest, and integrate new sources of data.
o Coordinate with the project team to expose the solution's data to external trading partners via APIs.
o Collaborate with the Data Scientist and Data Visualization Developer to surface the solution's data in meaningful ways.
o Partner with the Functional Business Analyst to ensure data is captured accurately.
o Ensure the current data model is flexible/extensible to minimize re-work during future updates.
o Ensure data is always secured and foster an environment of data security during all phases of development.
o Document the data model and its inbound/outbound data feeds.
o Provide support to the Lead Data ArchitectWhat you need to haveo Bachelor's Degree in a technical field with 5
years of experience; oro Master's Degree and 3
years of experience; oro PhD and 0 to 3 years of experience; oro in lieu of Bachelor's degree, 6 additional years of relevant experienceo Clearance:
Must possess an active Secret Clearanceo Security
certificationo Minimum 3 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying data management capabilities to a production environment.
o Minimum 3 years of experience managing and developing in a Microsoft SQL Server or Azure SQL Database instance.
o Demonstrated experience with at least two of the following:
o Tuning database/query performance.
o Extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) processes.
o Validating/cleansing data.
o Ingesting data via APIs and microservices.
o Azure Data, Azure Data Engineer, or Azure Database Administrator Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days) What we'd like you to haveo An ability to work with a cross-functional team in a highly collaborative environment and communicate feedback constructively.
