Software QA Engineer Tester with Security Clearance

ai is seeking a highly motivated Software Quality Assurance Tester to support our Analytical Tool (AT) systemThe ideal candidate will have experience testing a developed web application and system for accuracy and adherence to documented requirements and software development best practicesThis individual will work iteratively with the business and development team, through all aspects of the development life cycle using current testing methodologies and tools.
o This project offers a hybrid schedule, 3-4 days a week, joining the team in person in Arlington, VAWhat you will doo Create and execute test cases and test scenarios based on customer requirements and design documentationo Perform Functional, Regression, Performance, Usability, and User Acceptance testing based on customer requirementso Take individual initiative and responsibility for task executiono Meet project plan timelines while producing high quality productso Contribute to defining software requirements and acceptance criteriao Become an expert in the business rules implemented in the solutiono Participate in sprint planning with Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX analysts, and Developers to ensure the business requirements are understood fullyo Contribute to test planning activities, including developing documentation and estimating testing needso Perform Functional, Regression, Performance, Usability, User Acceptance, and Security testing to validate that the software complies with standards and documented requirementso Participate in test case walk-throughs, inspection, and peer reviewo Log and track defects from initial discovery to closure, working with developers to assess severity and impacto Develop an understanding of the requirements, including how users interact with the product and how changes to the UI might impact users' workflowo Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers and project team memberso Troubleshoot software problems and escalate issues, as appropriateo Learn and apply new tools and technologieso Bring testing best practices as process improvementWhat you need to haveo Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology and 2
years of experience, or;o Master's Degree and 0 - 3
years of experience, or;o in lieu of Bachelor's degree, 8
additional years of relevant experienceo Clearance:
must possess and maintain active Secret level clearanceo A minimum of 2 years of testing experience.
